'Developing Global Perspectives'

Symposium,  9-10 June 2016 Sydney

Three universities (James Cook, Macquarie and Western Sydney) are joining forces within the Office of Learning and Teaching (OLT) Strategic Priority area “Developing Global Perspectives."

Papers and posters will address the following theme:

Developing global perspectives and producing graduates that can live and work in an increasingly connected world are fundamental goals for Australian tertiary education.  Educators seek to increasingly internationalise the curriculum and encourage students to become culturally competent ‘global citizens’: international travel is a crucial ingredient in this internationalisation process. This research symposium explores the latest developments in the field in the design, implementation and embedding of Outbound Mobility Programs (OMPs) or study abroad into the tertiary curriculum.
